Review: Elf Essentials Vs Mineral Eyelid primer

My Thoughts: 

Pros: I LOVE this primer. It works well and helps my eyeshadows stay on almost all day. I also sometimes use it as a highlighter, because it is a nice really light flesh toned color. So to the transparent claim...eh not so much. But personally this is not a problem. It does not feel oily or heavy at all. For only a dollar it works magic! 

Cons: I do have one complaint: The amount you get isn't much....BUT You only need a very tiny bit for it to do it's job, I still have product left in the one I bought in November.

ELF Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

My Thoughts: 

Pros: This is another elf product that gets a gold star from me. It keeps eyeshadows lasting all day. It is the same light flesh toned color as the $1.00 primer. 

Cons: However again...you get little product. I do have an extra complaint for this product: It feels very greasy/oily on my lids. This helps mineral and loose eyeshadows to go on more smoothly, but for pressed shadows this is just an unnecessary uncomfortable feeling. Also, the fact that it's very greasy means it probably would not work well for people with oily lids.

Overall thoughts: 

 For the money, these are both great primers. However, if you can only get 1 of these primers, I would personally go with the $1.00 Primer.

If you have oily lids, the $3.00 mineral primer will most likely not work to well for you, 

as it is very oily in itsself.

The mineral primer is great for loose shadows and pigments, 

but the $1.00 primer works very well for these types of products as well.
